Syd Taylor spent two years planning this trip. Lundy is Britain's first marine nature reserve and you have to book accommodation on the island far in advance. Unfortunately strong winds limited the diving we could do, and we had to swim ashore in full gear because it was too rough for the boat to dock. I also had to skip a day's diving because I was feeling under the weather, but beautiful sunshine and staying in a gorgeous house laid on by the Landmark Trust took the edge off my disappointment. In any case on the last day Jeremy White and I did a breathtaking dive on a fine wreck in 26 metres.
